This CD goes hand in hand with the DVD. It's a love to have and own for those High School Musical Fans as my daughter is as well.
Great Fun. It is so much fun. I love the insert that comes with the CD, it has pictures from the movie and it contains the words to all the songs--perfect for singing along. We also enjoy that the songs from the actual "Spring Musical" are included on the soundtrack as well--including Sharpay singing Gabriella's part and Rockman singing for Troy. It is like watching the movie again and again, but this time we get to sing the parts. Definitely worth the purchase.
Then there's the prom song ("A Night to Remember") which is pretty cool and fun. These are all amazing and some of the best High School Musical songs ever. It has the same types of songs as the other 3 movies. There's the Troy-deciding-what-to-do-with-himself song ("Scream") which is pretty good.
"Right Here, Right Now"; "Can I Have This Dance"; and "Just Wanna Be With You"). This has to be the best soundtrack of all 3 movies. Then there's "The Boys Are Back". That song is super fun and really sums up all 3 movies. There's the basketball song (Now or Never) which is a lot of fun and so much better that "Getcha Head in the Game".
It's my least favorite song because it's kind of annoying and has nothing to do with the plot of the movie. All in all I love this soundtrack. It has the Troybriella songs (3 of them. There's the Gabriella breakup song ("Walk Away") which is really good, but it doesn't quite seem as sad as the other Gabriella breakup songs. There's the Sharpay song (I Want it All) which isn't too bad.
It's a lot less annoying than other Sharpay songs. Then there's the big musical number at the end ("High School Musical"). It really is the best music of all 3 movies.
IT'S OK IF THE KID'S LIKE THE MOVIE OR THE GAME, OTHER THAN THAT NOT A MUST HAVE.
Songs were very good. Funny thing - we bought the CD for our son who loved the movie. He was playing it while I was cleaning the house and I really enjoyed it. I would recommend it. I would play it even if he wasnt in the room.
